So this week I finally had to give in and buy some new pants.
Thanks to Herbal One, alot of clothes no longer fit, so it was time to get some new ones that do.
So this week I made a trip to Old Navy to get some new jeans and a couple shirts. I don't want to go too crazy on the new clothes shopping just yet since I still have a long way to go before I reach my goal. But as anyone who's ever had to buy smaller clothes will tell you - it's a good feeling.
On Wednesday night Bill Porter and I got to DJ the semi-formal at Thomas A. Stewart Secondary. We had a great time and so did the kids. I learned two things....1) Bill is an INSANE DJ. - Seriously, the dude was on fire. Still can't dance though....2) High school is WAYYYY different then it was when I was in high-school...and that was only five years ago!!! Times sure do change!
And finally, I survived all the chocolate and food that comes with Valetine's Day. It was a great start to the day when my boss, Brian Young, decided it'd be funny to try to sell me chocolate to support his daughters school. I did buy some...but not for myself! Also I'd like to thank the fine folks at Boston Pizza on Lansdowne for brining by some heart-shaped pizzas...they were enjoyed by the Energy staff....all except me. I opted for a Chicken Pita from the Souvlaki Pit instead. At this point even I'm amazed at my own will-power.
One last thing, a quick little rant.
Folks, I know we've had some snow this winter. I know it's getting a little insane and I know you're fed up with shovelling at this point but please for the love of god, BRUSH OFF YOUR DAMN CARS!!!
Here's the problem. People are driving around town after a night of snow without having properly cleaned their vehicles. Besides being UNSAFE, this is also ILLEGAL.
Wednesday morning I was driving down Lansdowne and on two seperate occasions I almost witnessed collisions due to the same reason (I call them "collisions" by the way, since saying "accident" implies there's no one at fault). The reason was is that the person, due to either laziness or just outright stupidity, had not cleared off their rear tail-lights. This means other drivers don't know when you're turning or changing lanes and don't know when you're stopping because they can't see your brake lights.
So please, when it snows....clear off your vehicle. Windows, mirrors, headlights and rear lights. And yes, the roof too.
Hopefully that's the nastiest I'll ever have to get on this blog!
